Sheldon Eisenberg, Partner

Sheldon Eisenberg is renowned for his defense of entertainment industry clients, technology companies, financial institutions, and others involved in complex litigation, class actions and intellectual property disputes.  With more than 35 years of experience, he is sought out by high-profile clients for his skilled pretrial strategies, and when necessary, effective trial and arbitration representation.  His clients include technology companies, financial institutions, A-list talent, producers, writers, production and media companies, software developers and publishers, and literary and talent agencies.  He is a frequent speaker on topics relating to the entertainment industry and spoke at the most recent USC Entertainment Law Institute.  Prior to joining Sullivan & Triggs, LLP, he had been a managing partner at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath, LLP and the head of its Los Angeles office.  He started his legal career and became a partner at Irell & Manella before spending ten years at Bryan Cave LLP where he headed that firm’s Los Angeles office and was a member of its Executive Committee.  Over the years, Mr. Eisenberg has led a number of social impact cases on a pro bono basis in the area of animal rights and welfare and, in the process, has won landmark rulings at the appellate level advancing those rights.  He received the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s Advancement in Animal Law Pro Bono Achievement Award in 2015.  He was selected to Super Lawyers for 2004 – 2018.  He also served as a judge pro tem for the Los Angeles Municipal Court and has been a frequent arbitrator for both the Los Angeles County and Santa Monica Bar Association Attorney-Client Fee Dispute programs.
